This is a collection of favorite family recipes I’ve collected over 50 years. Quite a few of these recipes were generously shared by local restaurants, clam shacks and even push carts from the local area and I’ve also added many I’ve collected from our travels around the state. Many of these establishments no longer exist but they live on in our memories because of the wonderful meals that are their legacy.

How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
This is not a cut and paste recipe book. These are time tested recipes that work. There is a large section on how to purchase and store seafood, complete descriptions of seafood cooking methods, and personal stories attached to many of the recipes sections.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Don’t take the easy way of publishing short useless books because you think these books will sell. Think about the reader and give value to them. Just because an e-book is .99, don’t think people will come back and buy a second book if there is no value there.
Pick a genre you are interested in and build a brand name for yourself, so that people will return and purchase more of your books.
I was born in Maine and have always lived there. I was married right out of high school and raised 4 children. Last year my spouse celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary.
My spouse and I taught ballroom dancing for 20 years and I then went on to work at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Maine for over 10 years.
When I retired, I then went on to build authority websites for my own enjoyment. My largest site, www.home-decorating-room-by-room.com, has been listed in Google as a number one site in many categories for years.
I’ve wanted to be an author for most of my life. Finally, at the age of 70, I decided if I was ever going to do this, I’d better do it NOW. This is my first published book, but now that I have followed my dream, I know there will be many more books to follow.
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I started this seafood cookbook to bring some order to my recipe collection of 50 years. This collection consists of recipes I’ve collected from friends and family over the years. There are recipes I’ve developed myself over the many years of feeding a large family.
