One of the original craft beer microbreweries to hit Mississippi was Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company, founded in 2005 by Leslie and Mark Henderson. Both born and raised in Mississippi, the two graduated from MSU with degrees in engineering (Mark in electrical, Leslie in chemical) and moved to the Gulf coast to pursue their careers. It wasn’t long before the brewing bug bit Leslie though, and after a run at the American Brewers Guild and an apprenticeship at Crescent City Brewhouse, they were ready to hit the boilers.
