Spicy Maryland Fried Chicken

During my college days I spent the summers working on a cattle farm to help pay for my college expenses. I still remember the farmer’s wife cooking large amounts of southern fried chicken for lunch. Piles of legs, wings and breasts. All crispy, juicy and delicious. I always looked forward to lunch at the old farm house and especially when it was fried chicken day. Now I have my own recipe for spicy Maryland fried chicken that I would like to share with you.

I still remember my first trip to Paris; sitting at the foot of the Eiffel Tower sipping a delicious espresso unmatched by anything available in the United States. Every taste of Nespresso reminds me of the perfection that Europe has brought to coffee.

As a youngster my grandmother used to treat me and my mom to delicious canned vegetables gently heated up on the stove. Even though I was pretty young then, I still remember the delicious blend of tomatoes, zucchini, onions, garlic, and hot peppers she put into her jars. Later on as an adult, I learned how to can vegetables from friends of mine who were all in their 60′s. Now as an adult on my own, I prefer homemade canning to store-bought, and it saves money!

Soup – A Delicious Crab & Corn Bisque

I still remember when my workmate told me she’d be bringing me a crab bisque soup the next day. She had gotten the recipe from her mother in law and it was one of her favorites. Once I tried the soup, I knew I wanted to take that recipe and alter it to my families taste.

Mickey Mouse Waffles

Mickey Mouse is one of my favorite cartoons from Disney when I was young. Besides that, I also like Minnie, Donald Duck and Goofy. He has the most charming appearance of all other cartoon characters. I still remember I went to Hong Kong Disneyland for a vacation and take photo with him and Minnie. It is a good memorable moment!
